What is the order processing time?
All orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Once your order is processed, it will be dispatched for shipping. Please note that made-to-order and pre-order items may require additional processing time, which will be clearly stated on the product page.
Where is my order dispatched from?
While Selene & Amor is based in Australia, all orders are generally dispatched directly from our workshop in China. This allows us to streamline shipping, reduce carbon emissions, and ensure high-quality standards.
Why are orders dispatched from overseas instead of my country?
As a small business, we are focused on finding the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly solutions. Currently, dispatching orders directly from our workshop in China allows us to streamline shipping, reduce carbon emissions, and keep costs competitive while ensuring high quality. This is the most efficient option for us at this stage.
As Selene & Amor grows, we plan to expand our operations and establish dispatch centres in key locations around the world. This will enable us to offer even more efficient service while continuing to prioritise sustainability.
Can I track my order?
Yes! Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you a tracking number so you can monitor its journey. Please allow 24-48 hours for the tracking information to update.
Can I cancel or change my order after it has been placed?
- Order Cancellation: Once your order is processed and shipped, we cannot cancel it. Please contact us immediately at info@seleneandamor.com if you wish to cancel before dispatch.
- Changing Shipping Details: If you notice an error in your shipping details, please contact us immediately at info@seleneandamor.com. We can make corrections before dispatch. After shipment, changes cannot be made.
What if my address is incorrect after my order has been shipped?
Unfortunately, once the order has been dispatched, we cannot change the shipping address. If the address is incorrect and the package is in transit, the courier will attempt re-delivery. If unsuccessful, the parcel will be returned to the mailing warehouse, and we may be able to re-ship it for a fee. Please ensure your address is accurate at checkout to avoid delays or extra costs.
What happens if my order is marked as delivered, but I haven’t received it?
If your order is marked as delivered but you haven’t received it, please reach out to us at info@seleneandamor.com. We will work with the courier company to investigate and resolve the issue. While we are unable to issue a refund in this situation, we are dedicated to finding the best possible solution.

Are customs duties and taxes covered by Selene & Amor?
For international orders, customs duties and taxes may apply upon arrival and are separate from the shipping cost. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and vary depending on the destination country. Selene & Amor is not responsible for any duties, taxes, or delays caused by customs or third-party delivery companies.
What should I do if my order is delayed?

What is your Returns Policy?
At Selene & Amor, we want you to love your pieces. If you're not entirely satisfied, returns are accepted within 14 days of receiving your order. Full-priced items can be returned for store credit or a refund, provided they are unworn, in original condition, and include all packaging and tags. Earrings cannot be returned due to hygiene regulations, and sale items are final sale unless faulty.
To initiate a return, please contact us at info@seleneandamor.com with your order number, details of the items, and photos if the item is faulty or damaged. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, and we recommend using a trackable service.
We currently do not offer direct exchanges. For exchanges, please return the original item and place a new order.

Who covers the return shipping costs?
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, including any customs charges, government taxes, and duties for both domestic and international returns. To make the process easier, we offer the option to send returns to either our design studio in Sydney or our dispatch warehouse in China, depending on which location is more convenient for you. We recommend using a trackable shipping service as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.
Can I exchange an item?
We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange your item for a different style, please return the original item and place a new order.

Here’s an overview of the premium materials we use to craft our jewellery:
- 18K Gold Plated 925 Sterling Silver
We use 18K gold plating over 925 sterling silver, a high-quality base metal that is 92.5% pure silver, with the remaining 7.5% typically made up of alloy metals to enhance its durability. 925 sterling silver offers strength and a brilliant shine while maintaining the lightweight comfort for everyday wear.
The 18K gold plating is enhanced with an e-coating layer, which provides added protection to the gold finish. E-coating is a thin, durable layer applied through electroplating, which helps prevent tarnishing and enhances the longevity of the piece. This additional layer ensures that the gold maintains its rich, radiant appearance for a longer period, offering better resistance to wear and environmental factors.
- 14K Gold Plated 925 Sterling Silver
We use 14K gold plating over 925 sterling silver, which is 92.5% pure silver and provides a perfect balance of strength and shine. 14K gold has a slightly darker, more subtle yellow hue compared to 18K gold, and it is more durable and scratch-resistant due to its higher alloy content. This makes it ideal for everyday wear.
Our 14K gold plating is applied in three layers, enhancing the gold’s durability and resistance to tarnishing, ensuring that your jewellery maintains its radiant finish for longer.
- 18K Gold Plated Brass
For a select few statement pieces, we use 18K gold plated brass. Brass offers durability and versatility while keeping the price accessible without sacrificing the luxurious appearance of 18K gold.
- Freshwater and Shell Pearls
Our jewellery features freshwater pearls and shell pearls, known for their natural lustre and texture. Each pearl is carefully selected for its beauty, and we use only AAAA or AAAAA grade pearls, ensuring the highest quality and timeless appeal.
- Cubic Zirconia (5A Grade)
For the majority of our pieces, we use 5A Cubic Zirconia, the highest grade available, offering diamond-like brilliance and clarity. These stones provide a stunning, affordable alternative to natural diamonds. While 5A Cubic Zirconia is used in most of our designs, we carefully select the highest quality stones for every piece to ensure that each item radiates brilliance and beauty.
- Gemstones
Currently, we offer natural pink agate, known for its soft pink hues and unique banded patterns. Each stone is carefully selected for its natural beauty and healing properties, making it a meaningful addition to our pieces.
We plan to expand our gemstone range in the future, introducing new stones to further enhance the beauty of our collections.
Is your jewellery waterproof?
While water doesn’t immediately affect gold plating over sterling silver or brass, continuous exposure to water and chemicals like perfume, deodorant, and household cleaning products can lead to tarnishing over time. To maintain the beauty and longevity of your jewellery, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact with moisture.
Is your jewellery suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes, our jewellery is designed with sensitive skin in mind. We use nickel-free, lead-free, and hypoallergenic materials, ensuring that our pieces are gentle on the skin.
If you have very sensitive skin, we recommend choosing 925 sterling silver over brass, as it tends to be gentler. For detailed information on the composition of each piece, please refer to the product page.
To minimise irritation, we also suggest removing your jewellery before sleeping or engaging in activities that may cause excessive sweating or exposure to chemicals.
Can I request a custom jewellery design?
Currently, we do not offer custom design services, but we are always working on creating unique and exclusive collections that cater to our customers' desires. Stay tuned for future offerings.

Our 24K gold-plated roses are crafted using a delicate process that transforms real, natural roses into timeless works of art. Each rose undergoes a thorough inspection for quality and is carefully packaged in an elegant box.

Are the roses used in your 24K Gold-Plated Roses real?
Yes, our 24K gold-plated roses are made from 100% real, natural roses. We select the finest blooms, preserving their authentic texture and intricate details before coating them in 24K gold. Each rose comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, confirming it has been hand-crafted and preserved through a meticulous 65-step process, ensuring it is a true representation of nature.
Is the 24K gold plating real?
Yes, the gold plating is made from genuine 24K gold. To ensure both quality and durability, every rose comes with an SGS report, certifying the thickness of the gold plating layer. This independent certification guarantees the gold finish is of the highest standard, ensuring the rose retains its golden beauty for many years to come.
Do you keep the natural colour of the rose?
While we start with a naturally beautiful rose, the colour is enhanced during the production process. The preservation and gold-plating steps bring out a more vivid hue, so the final colour may differ slightly from the original natural shade. This enhancement is intended to highlight the rose's natural beauty, creating a more striking and lasting result.
Where do the roses come from?
Our 24K gold-plated roses come from Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province in China, known for its ideal climate for rose cultivation. Often referred to as the "City of Eternal Spring," Kunming’s mild temperatures, abundant sunshine, and rich soil provide the perfect environment for growing premium roses. The region has a long history of floriculture, with generations of artisans and florists perfecting their craft.
Are the roses grown in-house, or do you work with external suppliers?
We collaborate with skilled artisans in Kunming, Yunnan, who partner with a family-owned rose farm to provide the finest roses for our 24K gold-plated creations. Every stage of the process—from the careful selection of blooms to their preservation, gold-plating, and final packaging—takes place in Kunming. This close partnership ensures that each rose embodies the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality.
How long does it take to create a 24K Gold-Plated Rose?
The process of creating each 24K gold-plated rose takes approximately 15 days, starting once the rose leaves the farm. This includes careful selection, preservation with protein resin, gold plating, and final quality checks. Please note, this timeline does not account for the growing and cultivation of the roses, which typically takes 6 to 8 weeks before they are sent to the artisans for the next stages of production.
Can I order custom 24K Gold-Plated Roses with engraving?
At this time, we do not offer engraving or custom designs for the 24K gold-plated roses. However, we are always exploring new ways to enhance the customer experience and may offer customisation options in the future.

What is covered under Selene & Amor's warranty?
All jewellery purchases from Selene & Amor are covered by a 3-month warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects or faults in materials, including:
- Faulty clasps or fastenings: If a clasp, hook, or mechanism fails to function as intended.
- Broken or loose settings: If stones or other adornments are improperly set or detached due to production issues.
- Defective plating: If a piece is tarnished or discoloured immediately after purchase due to a defect in the plating process.
What’s not covered by the warranty?
The following are not covered by the warranty:
- Loss of jewellery
- Chain breakage
- General wear and tear, including tarnishing or fading of plated jewellery due to regular use

How do I file a warranty claim?
